The scanning object is an apartment located in the city of Kharkiv. Further modeling of the space allows solving the following tasks: determining the deviations of walls and columns from the vertical, detecting irregularities and slopes in the floor structure, misalignments of pipes, and much more.
3D modeling captures the existing utilities for the purpose of further apartment design.
The purpose of the project was to create a three-dimensional model of the object based on laser scanning data for further work by designers.
Initial Data & Project Timeline:
The total area of the scanned object was approximately 55 m2.
The processing of the acquired data and delivery of the final materials to the client took 5 days.

Project Stages
In the first stage, laser scanning, photography, and data stitching were conducted in a defined coordinate system. This process required 6 scanner station points and took less than 1 hour. The data stitching error did not exceed 1 mm.
In the second stage, the point cloud was cleaned using Leica Cyclone software, and then loaded into Autodesk Revit using the Leica CloudWorx add-on. Using the point cloud as a digital foundation, the 3D modeling of the apartment was performed. The model includes walls, windows, doors, as well as engineering utilities. If necessary, additional materials can be obtained from the 3D model, such as floor plan drawings or the visualization of specific details and their specifications.
