Architect's House in Kharkiv: Scanning of the Building of National of Architects

  • Architect's House is a former merchant mansion built in 1911-1912 in one of the best districts of the city in a street previously known as Sadovo-Kulykivska, later renamed to Darwin Street in the 1930s. The Ryzhov dynasty played a significant role in Kharkiv's history for a century. The names of the Ryzhovs are mentioned 54 times in Bagaley and Miller's book "History of the City of Kharkiv for 250 Years of Its Existence." The experienced architect Velychko was entrusted with the design and construction supervision. The mansion's construction was completed in 1912, and it was celebrated with a grand ball on the occasion of Ryzhov's wife's birthday, and the building was his gift for her.
  • The objective of the project was to develop a model of the building to preserve its architectural heritage and significance in Kharkiv. The scanning of the building's facades and some interior spaces was required, along with modeling a small portion of the facade.
