26th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Geoforum - 2023"
The twenty-sixth International Scientific and Technical Conference "Geoforum - 2023" was held from April 19 to 21, 2023 at the Lviv Polytechnic National University and on the basis of the Valentina Hotel in Bryukhovychy. The event was organized by the Western Geodetic Society of the Ukrainian Society of Geodesy and Cartography.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss current issues in the field of geodesy, cartography and land management, as well as study the prospects for the development of these fields in Ukraine. The topic of the forum was quite broad and covers such issues as:
- Education in geodesy, cartography and land management;
- Prospects for the development of topographic-geodetic and cartographic activity in Ukraine;
- Study of the shape and external gravitational field of the Earth using ground-based methods and their combination with satellite methods, space monitoring of the Earth;
- Creation and operation of a network of active reference GNSS stations in Ukraine;
- Modern trends in the development of cartography and cartographic production, digital photogrammetry, modern geodetic photogrammetric instrumentation;
- Automation of engineering geodetic and surveying works;
- Modern technologies of laser scanning and unmanned aerial photography;
Our team, together with the specialists of the parent company "Navigation and Geodetic Center", led by the founder Oleksandr Gorb, also attended the event and presented many interesting solutions, technologies and equipment from Leica Geosystems, including the advanced mobile scanning system Leica Pegasus Two Ultimate!
