Tank scanning

Summary
  • Special tanks are used for storing oil, molasses, or petroleum products at industrial plants, gas stations, and oil depots. Accurate measurement is crucial to prevent losses and ensure profitability. Laser scanning is employed for precise calibration of tank geometry and capacity determination. The calibration results in a calibration table that remains valid for up to 5 years.
  • The objective of the project was to model the tank based on laser scanning data for subsequent calibration. The modeling aimed to achieve accurate calibrationof the tank for precise measurement of its contents.
